The Chroni-WHAT-cles of Narnia!

Okay, I hope I'm not the only one who remembers a Saturday Night Live digital short with a rap song about the movie The Chronicles of Narnia... anyone? Anyone? Well, it's hilarious, even though the only part I remember is the chorus...

I immediately started singing it when my favorite blog challenge started up again for the new year with, you guessed it, The Chronicles of Narnia! Now, I have not seen the movie or read the books, for that matter... I guess I just can't get into fantasy stuff like that. I would rather read a more "realistic" book... Okay, you got me... I'm reading the Twilight saga right now! I just had to see what the fuss was about. Not too impressed, but maybe now that I am reading out of my comfort zone, I will try this classic series.
Here is my take on the movie:

The snowflakes are foam cutouts from Walmart. The White Daisy ink, stamp sets, and prisma glitter are all CTMH. The snowflake ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. I don't remember where I bought the pearl flowers, but it was either Hobby Lobby or Michaels.

Color Challenge!

Happy New Year, friends! One "goal" (groan) that I have this year is to improve my crafting skills. So, I am looking forward to participating in more challenges. I was super excited to see that Kristina was having a new color challenge this week! Her craftiness is AMAZING! See for yourself over at kwernerdesign.com. Here is the challenge:
I was looking through my paper stash, and found Close to My Heart paper pack from the Animal Cookies collection. Perfect!

The paper, letter stamps, stitching stamps and ribbon is all from CTMH. The "love" was achieved by using a masking technique with a Stampabilities stamp that says "Made with Love." The frame is making memories and the ink is Colorbox. I can't remember where I purchased the lion. :(
Here's to lots of Peace, Love, and Scrapping in 2010! :)
